Mac Haul ♥

This post has been sitting in my drafts for ages now - here is a few purchases I made on a little shopping splurge I had in Mac.

Mac Studio Sculpt Foundation

Having used MAC Studio fix fluid religiously for years now I thought it was time to try Studio Sculpt which offers a high coverage - although I have tried this foundation before I couldn't quite remember my opinion so this intrigued me to give it another whirl. Personally this foundation does not blow me away, although it is a very full coverage for me it is too oil based, thick and in my opinion quite "cakey". I like a foundation I can blend and this one proves difficult on my face!

Mac Strobe Cream

After trying a sample size bottle of this that was enclosed in a recent Mac order, I straight away wondered how I had been living without this cream and so had to make a mad dash for the shops to purchase the full size bottle, dam you Mac and your clever marketing techniques! Mac describe this product as 'The ultimate quick fix for the skin' and they could not be more spot on. This product is an instant brightener and enhancer for my skin giving it the ultimate glow you have ever witnessed whilst also feeling super smooth. I mix this in with my Mac studio fix fluid and the finish is stunning as it adds a bit of dewiness and shine which I like as studio fix tends to be quite a matte finish else!

Mac Mineralize Skinfinish Natural - Medium/Dark

This was a standard purchase as far as my make-up bag is concerned. I use this to powder and set my face on a daily basis in combination with my Maybelline Fit Me! Foundation as it tends to be quite a dewy foundation and not as long lasting coverage without a powder.

Mac Lipstick - So Chaud

.

When it comes to lipsticks I always seem to be drawn to shades of Red's - My Mac lipstick collection is quite made up of them to be honest and with summer in full swing I needed a new summery one to add to the collection (any excuse!). 'So Chaud' is a gorgeous Red/orange with a matte finish giving a full coverage lip.

Mac Lip Liners in Redd and Embrace Me

Left - Redd  Right - Embrace me

After discovering Mac's lip liners I literally can not get enough of them - For those of you that love your bright bold colours a lip liner is just an absolutely vital step you need to take before lipstick application. If you are not quite sure why then here is why I highly recommend you do! Firstly using a lip liner will help you get the most perfect shape to your lips and even allows you to go out side your natural lip line slightly if you want to make your lips look bigger. Secondly I hate it when you see all smudged lipstick lines also known as bleeding around girls lips, this stops that and keeps your lipstick looking perfect. Finally in my opinion lip liners make your lips appear so much fuller and bigger - they honestly are a my wholly grail item!

Lots of love,
