Lipstick lust || Kate Moss 107 by Rimmel

 If you have seen my recent post on red lipsticks you will know by now they are an absolute staple in my make-up bag. I mean what's not to love about a good old lashing of red? It instantly adds that pop of colour to brighten up a toned down face of make-up, it enhances your non-existing lips (that's if you have minimal lips like me!) and it straight away makes you feel done up on those days that you really can't be bothered!

 

Kate Moss's lipstick range is no stranger to my make-up stash having already tried, tested and adored the shade '12' (a reddish/orange). The quality in particular really impressed me and for that reason I knew I had to invest in another shade to add to my ever growing lipstick collection.

 

I opted for '107' which immediately stood out to be my kinda colour. A stunning deep berry/plum shade with red undertones. This shade is definitely one for the autumn/winter months and it is surprisingly a really versatile lipstick to wear. I know that at a glance it can seem some what daunting trying darker, bolder shades but I can assure you that this colour is so effortless to wear and compliments both the palest of skin to more darker toned skin.

 

As I mentioned above, the quality of these lipsticks is something that really does seize to amaze me, especially for the price of £5.49 - a third of a MAC lipstick! The finish is advertised as matte, which I do sometimes have reservations about as they can be somewhat drying and give that flaky chapped lip look, however, these are not. When applied it gives a smooth velvety texture, moisturising but yet not overly that it slips off your lips. One application is enough for an opaque colour with a slight shine and the longevity again ticks all the boxes, lasting around 5-6 hours.

 

To gain the perfect defined lip you need to make a lip liner an essential tool in your make-up bag as without this most bold, bright colours tend to bleed and smudge out of your lip lines. It will also help you achieve them big fuller lips that you are yearning for! Overall these lipsticks are most certainly one's to keep your eyes peeled for and I urge you to give them a try - I am already eyeing up my next potential shade to purchase!
