What did you eat for breakfast?
Today I had a bowl of plain porridge (a teaspoon of golden syrup in it) and a cup of tea! I have recently made the change of switching porridge's from the golden syrup flavour to the plain one.
I discovered there was 8g of sugar in the golden syrup porridge sachets (no wonder they tasted so nice!) and I am trying to "eat clean" at the moment so I wanted to cut the sugar content down. Being realistic I couldn't switch from sugary to plain straight away - yuck! so opted to just put a teaspoon of golden syrup in! :-)  I NEVER used to eat breakfast so this is really good for me - it really does start you up for the day and give you that boost of energy!!

2. How much water do you drink a day?

I actually have no idea how much water I drink a day in terms of litres but probably not as much as I should do! I do however drink about 4/5 cups of tea a day! *addict*

3. What is your current favourite workout?

My current favourite work out has to be bodypump - for those of you who do not have a clue what I am talking about, Bodypump is basically an hour long class using weights and doing activities such as squats, presses, dead lifts etc. This work out is amazing for an all over body work-out and guarantees to give you a burn and ache the next day. I always tend to do classes as I find once you are there you have no escape to slack or not push yourself whereas in the gym you tend to be able to relax a bit more!

4. How many calories do you eat a day?

I will hold my hands up now and admit I am so bad for calorie counting *borderline obsessive actually* Every item of food I pick up has to be inspected first and I head straight over to the nutritional information so calories, fat content, sugars etc! I take that all into consideration not just the calories. I probably eat around 1600 calories a day but won't say no to a chocolate bar if I want one.

5. What are your favourite healthy snacks?

I love ryvetta wholemeal crackerbread with cottage cheese on, hummus with carrot stick/celery, cashew nuts, apples and rice crackers. I use to always snack on crab sticks but can not stand them lately  *fishy alert* ! I always buy the snack packs of fruit from Asda - great for when you are on the go! To satisfy my sugar cravings I like weightwatchers lemon cake slices - 90 calories per slice nomm! Also the weight watchers fromage frais yoghurts are nice!

6. What do you usually eat for lunch?

This differs everyday depending where I am but it usually will consist of a weightwatchers tomato soup - I actually really like soup, tomato is my favourite and this one actually tastes really good -very similar to cream of tomato from heinz but without all the sugar and cream! I  normally have this with one small slice of wholemeal bread, followed by a healthy yogurt or a piece of fruit! If I have a bit more time I will make a salad.

7. What is your favourite body part to strength train?

This has to be either my abs or legs - I think this is purely because this is where I want to see improvements the most so I really enjoy working them out!

8. What is your least favourite body part to strength train?

Ermm I don't really have a least favourite but I am not so keen on the treadmill and cardio based stuff - mainly cause I'm unfit!! ha.

9. What are your “bad” food cravings?

I crave just about everything - I am only human and I do absolutely love my food, however, since I've been eating healthy I have noticed that I don't "crave" junk food so much - don't get me wrong Sundays I will pig out on whatever I want you need a treat day and calories don't count on Sunday ;)*  but in the week I am quite strict with myself - eating healthy actually does make me feel SO much better. My cravings are takeaways especially Indian and Chinese. I love bread - that is my weakness. Cheesecake is also my absolute favourite dessert!

10. Do you take vitamins or supplements?

I have recently started taking multi-vitamin & iron, Vitamin C and Cod liver oil. I am trying to be healthy at the moment and take care of my body - I don't know if these will make any difference but I guess we will see eh?

11. How often do you eat out?

Once a week - Me and my boyfriend will have a takeaway or eat out one day at the weekend - it's nice to have something to look forward to when you eat healthy throughout the week!

12. Do you eat fast food?

I must admit since I have been eating healthy I have been really turned off fast food - it makes me feel sick at the thought if I am honest. I still won't turn down a cheeky maccys after a night out or as a hangover cure though!

13. Who is you biggest supporter?

Probably my boyfriend, we are both on a healthy mission at the moment which is great as we both are their to support each other and motivate each other to eat healthy and go gym.

14. Do you have a gym membership?

Yes - I try to go to the gym at least 3 times a week - Joining the gym has definitely motivated me more to get fit, I pay £36 a month so that definitely motivates me to go as it would be such a waste of money if I didn't!

15. How many hours of sleep do you get a night?

I aim for at least 7/8 but it really does vary.

16. Do you have a “cheat” day?

Saturdays I will always eat out or have a takeaway - then Sunday if I want a unhealthy snack I will have one! At the end of the day its not about depriving yourself, if you want a cake then have one but if I do this I will give myself a harder workout and make sure I burn it off ;)

17. Do you drink alcohol?

Yes although I don't really like it - give me a can of coke any day! I love cocktails and anything that tastes fruity but spirits and stuff like that just makes me want to vom - I still drink them on a night out though haa! I drink probably once every 2 weeks? I'm not a big drinker really I never crave alcohol but If I do go out I will never just have 1 drink its normally quite excessive which isn't good!!

18. Do you have a workout buddy?

My friend orignally signed up with me to the gym but she doesn't really come that much so it's a bit rubbish. Having a workout buddy is definetly a big plus though - it's just a motivating factor and nice to have someone next to you for a bit of encouragement!!

19. What is the best thing that has changed about your life since committing to a Healthy Lifestyle?

I feel so much better - my mind, my body - everything!! It really is amazing how much better you feel when you eat healthy. I have also noticed how few spots I have been getting too - literally none!

20. What was the last healthy thing you did?

I went bodypump last night! It absolutely killed me but it felt so good after. I love having that "achey" feel.

Hope you all enjoyed this post! Would love to see your replies, I TAG you all! - What was the last healthiest thing you did?

Love,
